The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the biggest technology party of the year. Thousands of people flock to the event to see, try, and purchase the newest and latest technology from some of the biggest names in the electronics industry. Some of the products shown at CES are not even for purchase yet. If you are into electronics and technology, CES is the place to be.
At CES 2011, some awesome products were introduced. Some of these items—3D TV, tablets, phones—had techies drooling! Take a look at some of the new gadgets introduced at CES.
1. Absolutely the hottest thing at CES was tablets. Ever since the iPad came out, other companies have been racing to bring their own tablet to market. The Samsung Galaxy certainly made a huge splash at CES.
2. Kinect for the Xbox was also a hot item at the show. Finally, a real competitor for the Wii. The Kinect has gamers excited for the next generation of entertainment. What’s really cool about the Kinect is that you don’t need controllers to play.
3. How about an open source 3D printer? MakerBot really impressed the likes of Forbes with this printer that actually works, but doesn’t cost a fortune.
4. Samsung’s 3D TV also got a lot of attention at the show. In fact, Samsung had many big hits at CES this year. The 3D TV is loaded with web apps, including Skype.
5. And of course, a technology show wouldn’t be complete without an electric car. Ford’s electric Focus could be the next best thing in electric cars. The charging time for this vehicle is only three hours and it can top out at 84 miles per hour. That’s some serious power!
Keep an eye out for these products to hit shelves in the next year or so. Will you buy any of these new products?
