The International Consumer Electronics Show, which is held in Las Vegas, recently unveiled a whole host of new and interesting electronics that will be rolling out in the coming months. The most recent Consumer Electronics Show has shown that this is going to be an incremental year for electronics, especially with the multimedia phone race to greatness and the tablet war which is about to get really interesting.

This celebrated annual gathering wrapped up on January 9 and involved cramming more than 140,000 people into the convention center. This is an increase of attendance by 17 percent in comparison to last year, probably because there is so much interesting technology being unveiled this year, and more people than usual are excited to see what is going to happen.

A lot of new cell phones, tablet laptops, netbooks, innovating gaming laptops, televisions and other electronics have been unveiled, some of which are already prepared to hit the market and others which are still in their developmental stages but will be ready to hit the market very soon. Some of the biggest brand names were there, like Sony and Toshiba, and they rolled out some really neat new prototypes such as 3D televisions that allow you to avoid the bulky 3D glasses in favor of sitting closer to the television set.

The media coverage for the Consumer Electronics Show was largely dominated by tablet computers of nearly every shape and size. Consumer electronics makers also showed off a variety of other electronics including smarter and faster handsets like the Atrix 4G phones with an Nvidia dual-core chip. Manufacturers for all types and styles were rolled out during this unique and innovation-filled electronics show, giving consumers hints at what the upcoming technology marketplace is going to be like in the next few months.
